Celebrating Future Educators! - Please join us in congratulating CJ Edwards (left) and Christian Fix (right), two outstanding La Conner High School seniors, who have officially earned their Paraeducator Certification through the Teacher Academy at Northwest Career & Technical Academy (NCTA)!
Over the past year, CJ and Christian immersed themselves in a rigorous course of study that included educational law, child development, pedagogy, and social-emotional learning. Through a hands-on partnership with Centennial Elementary School, they supported classroom teachers while gaining real-world experience.
Thanks to the support of Vanessa Woo and Kristi Gunerius from NWESD and funding from the LEADER grant, these students were able to take and pass the Master Teacher Paraeducator Title I Certification exam, which is an incredible accomplishment for high school students preparing to launch careers in education.
We’re so proud of CJ and Christian for their commitment, compassion, and leadership. The future of education is brighter with Braves like you leading the way!
