High School Student of the Month: Josie Adams
Josie, a La Conner High School senior, is the daughter of Jeremy and Christina Adams. Her favorite class is Beekeeping, where she’s developed a love for science and the environment. Josie has shined as a student leader, serving as Senior Class President, an ASD representative, and a member of the track and field team.
Josie gives back through volunteering with Young Life and an online support group for girls with Dyslexia and ADHD. Outside the classroom, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and biking with friends. After graduation, Josie is headed to the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she’ll study Business.
Middle School Student of the Month: Claire Avery - Claire, an 8th grader at La Conner Middle School, is the daughter of Adam and Annie Avery. She enjoys her Leadership class, where she helps organize school activities. Claire is also a goalie on the High School soccer team, which proudly competed at State this year!
Claire’s community involvement includes volunteering with the Fire Department, umpiring Little League, and participating in 4-H, where she’s earned numerous ribbons and awards for showing her horse. This summer, she’ll be back at the Fair and hopes to join the Sedro-Woolley High School equestrian team in the future.
Elementary Student of the Month: Madison Langendorfer - Madison is a 5th grader at La Conner Elementary School and the daughter of Aaron and Charnelle Langendorfer. She loves Math, PE, and her homeroom class. Madison plays on both the soccer and basketball teams, and this year began learning the violin alongside friends. Her future dreams include joining the Army and attending college—a brave heart with a bright future!
