Hadden Zimmerman, a La Conner High School junior, is the son of Tyler Zimmerman and Leslie Swanson. A dedicated Brave, Hadden participates in soccer, basketball, and track — and currently manages the track team as he recovers from an injury. His favorite classes are Spanish and U.S. History, and he showcases his musical talents by playing trombone in the school band. This summer, Hadden will travel to Honduras as part of the Rotary YES (Youth Engaged in Service) Program, where he will participate in meaningful humanitarian work. After graduation, he plans to continue his education in college.
Middle School Student of the Month: Eighth grader Sophia Edwards is the daughter of Glen Edwards. She enjoys her PE and Leadership classes and plays basketball every chance she gets. Sophia is already planning for her future, aspiring to attend college and pursue a career as either a therapist or an elementary school teacher.
Elementary Student of the Month: Cody Mitchell, a fifth-grade student, is the son of Thomas and Emily Mitchell. His favorite subjects are PE and Science. He is passionate about sports, having played basketball last year, where his team finished in third place, and he plans to play again next season. Cody has also performed in the school play for the past two years. With a love for trains, Cody dreams of becoming a train conductor or truck driver when he grows up.
We are so proud of Hadden, Sophia, and Cody for their achievements, leadership, and commitment to learning. Keep shining, Braves!
