The governor's mask mandate has ended as of March 12, 2022
-LCSD will lift its current mask requirements beginning Saturday, March 12. In alignment with the governor and state and local public health, masks will be optional both indoors and outdoors at LCSD buildings and on school buses.
-This mask optional guidance extends to all athletics, performing arts, and other activities, as well as visitors to our school campuses.
-Masks are still required in school health/nurse rooms for staff and students.
-We will continue to offer well-fitting masks to staff and students who choose to wear a mask at all schools and sites. We will support students and staff who still choose to wear masks in school.
-We will continue to contact trace, but will no longer ask that students or staff stay home as long as they are symptom-free. We ask that close contacts test during the period in which they might contract the illness, starting at 3 days after contact.
-As before, if you have symptoms, please stay home. And if you do test positive let us know so we can work with you to determine an isolation period. (5 days minimum from positive test or symptom onset.)
If you have questions, please contact Monica Cook, Loree Hornbeck, or Andy Wheeler.
