La Conner High School Receives 6-Year Accreditation Status!
At our School Board meeting this evening, Superintendent Larry Francois and Board Director Mark Venn from NWESD announced La Conner High School has received 6-year accreditation status and presented a plaque to Superintendent Will Nelson and High School Principal Christine Tripp.
Washington State school accreditation began to ensure that the state’s high schools adequately prepared students for college. It was intended to document high-quality programs for colleges and the patrons of Washington’s educational system.
Over the years, the State Board of Education opened the accreditation process to all grade levels. This voluntary self-study process is a research-based approach to school improvement. It includes active participation and input from staff, students, parents, and community representatives.
