It's Google Expeditions. Just download the free app on your mobile device and start exploring the world, ancient history, space, the human body... you name it! One of expeditions I went on this morning was to Mt. Everest. (Hey kids, I visited the bridge where Zopa meets up with Peak at the end of the story!) It's an amazing tool. Also, I'm excited get back to the classroom and share with everyone the 2 VR viewers I just bought. We can use them with the expedition app to make it even more amazing. Here's a screen shot of the viewers. Can't wait to start using them!!Friday, March 20
Molly and I have been trying to read for 30 minutes every day... or more accurately... I've been reading and Molly has been drooling over her ball.Wednesday, March 18Please click the link above to see some of the possible activities you can complete with your child while L.C.E.S. is closed because of the Coronavirus. This is being provided as a way for me, to take the burden off of all you who are trying to help your kids grow in their academic skills during this unprecendented event. I already miss all of the kids and it's only been 24 hours since we closed!! I can't wait until we're all back together. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jan Auman and this is my 19th year of teaching in the La Conner School District. My family and I live in Anacortes. I love my job! I can think of no other occupation that I’d like to do more than what I am doing now. I wake up every day excited to go to work. My husband Bob and I have 2 grown kids, Robin and Laura. I'm proud to say that both of them went through La Conner Schools for all 12 years of their education. Whenever I’m not at work I’m spending time with my family, hiking, biking, camping, traveling, playing games, reading playing music and whatever else my family and friends like to do.
