Hello! I'm Lori Buher, your school counselor!   I'm Lori Buher, School and Career Counselor for La Conner Middle and High School Students

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your students.  I am available by email every day but will plan to be immediately available every weekday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a question or concern!

ThE 21/22 school year will be a time to rededicate ourselves, staff, families and students alike to focusing on an optimistic future.  The Counseling department will continue the work on assisting our students in the development of career goals, guiding them, along with families, toward the path, the courses and the experiences they will need in order to prepare for their future.  Our goal is not just to see the students through graduation, but to do everything we can to insure they are prepared for the steps beyond graduation.

We recognize that this past year and a half has had a deterimental impact to some degree on all of us.  Supporting the emotional needs of our families, students and staff will remain a priority for everyone in the counseling office.  Please encourage your student to take advantage of opportunities to join our Peer Support Groups, Prevention Groups, Clubs and Athletics.  Engagement in school activiites, beyond the classroom are a very positive way to maintain and improve our mental health.  Please contact our office with concerns or questions!

Summer plans:  I will be taking some time off throughout the month of July.  If you have an urgent need to speak with me, please contact the district office at 360-466-3171.
