La Conner School Garden

  • Hello and Happy 2020!

After taking a winter break, the La Conner School Garden Club will start meeting twice a month for the remainder of the school year.

This February; the club will meet on the 11th and 25th, 2:45-4:00pm. We will gather in the elementary school commons, eat a healthy snack and head out to the garden.

The La Conner Elementary School Garden Club is still accepting members for the 2019-20 school year!

    -  Joining the club is free and open to all elementary school students and their families.

    - A sign-up sheet is attached to this letter, which can be returned to the elementary school office.

*We are always looking for parent and community participation!

    -  During the garden club meetings, members will get the opportunity to eat/cook garden-fresh food and learn about gardening through hands-on activities.

Stop by the garden anytime and see what’s growing. It’s located at the south end of the La Conner Elementary School behind the loading dock.

The 2019-20 school year is the fourth year of coordinating the school garden! The garden is available for classroom involvement and is intended to be used by the whole school community. This is a long term, a school-wide project to engage our students in growing real food. Healthy eating and hands-on outdoor learning can have huge impacts on a child’s health and well-being throughout their lives.
