    Health Benefits
    District employees have access to Premera Medical, Vision and Dental Coverage.  In addition, there are multiple voluntary benefits available.  For more information:

    MEDICAL - Each employee working more than 3.5 hours per day will have a pro-rated allocation of funding towards the medical plan of their choice.  The cost of the plan in excess of the allocation will be deducted from the employee's paycheck. Contact Human Resources to find out what your allocation is towards the cost of a medical plan. 
    VISION & DENTAL - Each employee working more than 3.5 hours will receive vision and dental coverage for their whole household at no cost to the employee.
    Life Insurance
    Symetra Life
    Employees of La Conner School District working more than 17.5 hours per week and is enrolled in a Premera medical plan is automatically enrolled with Symetra Life for basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.  

    Employee Assistance Program
    Far West Family Services 
    As an employee of La Conner School District, you are automatically enrolled as a member of a employee assistance program through Far West Family Services.  You and any member of your household have access to this program.

    In addition to the retirement benefits offered through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems, employees may enroll in voluntary investments programs, listed below. 
    Please visit TSA Consulting Group's website for authorized providers of 403b plans.  To sign up, contact them directly and submit a Salary Reduction Agreement from their website to the business office.  
    Deferred Compensation Program

    Salary Placement
    CLOCK HOURS:  Washington State allows clock hours to be accumulated towards the current salary allocation model.  Each 10 (ten) clock hours is the equivalent of 1 (one) quarter credit.  Clock hours must be earned from a Washington State Approved Clock Hour Providers.  Use this link to find information about approved providers.
